Project Title: “Returning to New Opportunities in Malesi e Madhe“
Objective: To better socio-economically reintegrate 30 returnee families and 30 families from marginalized groups in Malesi e Madhe.
The organisation CoDe Albania-COHERENT DEVELOPMENT ALBANIA, in framework of the project “Returning to New Opportunities in Malesi e Madhe”, supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, part of “Returning to New Opportunities Programme” of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) seeks to contract an External Expert on provision of training on Soft Skills in Koplik, Malesi e Madhe.
The project supports the returnees and jobseekers from marginalized groups to reach the local services, and for those who are seeking for job qualification provides accompaniment to reach the local market, and also enables psycho-social support/orientation towards more specialized services for the socio reintegration. Considering that the socio-economic reintegration is a process, it requires a holistic approach and a strategic local partnership, in order to accelerate the reintegration process by ensuring to returnees a rapid and appropriate reintegration into the community and the labor market. Therefore, the project also involves the main key local stakeholders during the project implementation aiming the institutional and business community commitment, and activating local synergies at local level impacting on the long term sustainability of the project.
Jobseekers from the aimed target-groups face significant labor market challenges, as the unemployment rate is particularly high, especially among youth. The poor labor market outcomes (especially in the field of tourism and agriculture, as the main sectors with potential in the area of Malesi e Madhe) could be related by skill mismatches, as employers struggle to fill vacancies due to a shortage of job seekers with relevant qualifications and skills. In particular, many enterprises claim that employees or candidates for being employees lack “soft skills”, or non-cognitive skills that range from leadership and team work to conflict resolution. Also, youth and unemployed jobseekers have poor information on how to write a CV, Letter of motivation, prepare for a job-interview or be prepared on how to empower entrepreneurship skills and draft a business plan. They are not quite prepared to enter into the job market through employment or self-employment and face its requests and gain sustainability. Also, the local institutions such as the Employment Office, does not have or distribute informative materials to inform and train unemployed jobseekers on improving their employed skills or provide them with information on employment or self-employment requests. On the other side, there is still a need for local institutions to be equipped with good practices/measures & interventions related to setting in motion the mechanism of functioning of local synergies, in order to accelerate socio-economic reintegration of the aimed target group. Therefore, the project has foreseen to work on drafting and producing of informative materials related to:
